Here are the teachings I have taken from 2023

Reflecting on this year has left me marveling at what is possible. Never could I have imagined all that 2023 would encompass when I started Homes for Expats in March 2022.

2023 has undeniably been a year of profound learning, leaving me and those around me forever changed.

Here are the teachings I have taken from 2023 that I will use as the map for Homes for Expats in 2024:

✨ Firstly, 2023 taught me about the richness of human interaction and navigating diverse personalities with grace and understanding.

✨ It has shown me the importance of setting boundaries, of saying 'no' when necessary, and that saying no is okay. This holds true for all human interactions you may have.

✨ With running a business, the hard stuff is inevitable and it’s by no means easy. I will say it again: the hard stuff is hard, but it is the crucible that shapes success.

✨ Embracing challenges harnesses growth, expands horizons, and shows us just what is possible if you set the intention and run towards it with everything you have!

✨ Be grateful! It’s the stuff that keeps your feet firmly on the ground.

✨ Relationship building is a superpower that everyone should harness.

✨ Everyone needs a mentor!

✨ Stay humble and never be so arrogant as to think you won’t fall because even the tallest of trees can be cut down to size!

✨ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.

✨ Humour is a great business tool! Use it often!

✨ It’s okay to be 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 in business.

Thank you for an extraordinary year. Heartfelt gratitude to our clients, colleagues, and to everyone who has supported Homes for Expats. We thank you for choosing Homes for Expats. Here's to the unwritten chapters of 2024 and all that is possible.
